Larimar is a semi-precious stone that can only be found in the Dominican Republic and is believed to have originated from the sea. Miguel Mendez named the stone after his daughter Larissa and the Spanish word for sea (mar), creating Larimar. This gemstone is believed to reduce stress, while creating calmness. The beautiful and unique color of this gemstone portrays our laid-back Charleston lifestyle; with coastlines, sunsets and Carolina Skies.
